History

Ownership

Mr. David R. Sullivan
is president and handles all of the sales and estimating for P.P.P., Inc.

Mr. Paul J. Lavoie is CEO/Treasurer and handles all financial matters, accounting, and environmental issues.

Scope

Performance Product Painting, Inc. is an industrial coatings job shop which started business in 1987.  Our capacity and diversification has made the corporation one of the largest job shops on the East Coast.  Our scope of work is powder coating, liquid painting, sandblasting, phosphating, adhesive spraying, and misc services.

Growth

The company started its operation with three employees and quickly grew to five employees in the first year of operation.  Those original five employees are still with the company.  The company has constantly added to their employment force and now have 37 employees.  Eleven of these existing employees have been with the Company for five or more years, which shows strength in the moral and feeling of commarade that Paul and David have instilled in the Company.

The company has seen good steady growth in sales. From modest growth in the early stages to a 62% growth in 1994, 31% in 1996, 12% in 1997, 30% in 1998 and has no end in sight.

Due to the diversity of the growing market, Performance has had two major expansions in keeping up with the growing need of it's customers.  1993 bought the purchase of the building and property along with an additional 4500 sq. ft. of production space.  In 1995 Performance again added a 6000 ft sq. ft. addition to warehouse goods for our customers in a cost saving measure.  Goods can be shipped directly from our customers vendors for processing eliminating bringing the goods into their warehouse only to ship to us.

Corporate Wellness

Paul and Dave have and will continue to support local charitable organizations and support employee growth by providing excellant company benefits.

Our corporate support of environmental issues has always kept us at the forefront.  Performance spearheaded a very significant change within Chapter 129 of the Clean Air Act.  Performance corporate wellness extends to the roots of any corporation, its quality programs and quality commitment.  Our commitment to the environment is clearly evident by examination of sales growth.  We have been able to seek and search out new products that are environmentally friendly.  This has enabled Performance to remain compliant and well within its license perimeters.
